Joe Apicella, of SFC will speak about creating "green" public space through the daylighting of the Saw Mill River in downtown Yonkers and the building of a Yonkers "field of green" rooftop stadium. Guidelines for tour participants:
The tour of the Yonkers Domino Sugar Refinery will require significant walking and climbing of stairs. Dress casually! While on the tour participants will be required to wear hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, hair nets & beard covers, all of which will be provided. Participants must wear substantial street shoes, preferably with rubber (non skid) soles. DO NOT wear sneakers, high heels or open toed shoes for the tour. Photography and video recording are not permitted in the plant.
Be sure to R.S.V.P. bus space to the facility is limited. |
